Bonded Warehousing
Hong Kong’s Duty System
Hong Kong is a tax-free port, with the exception of four types of dutiable commodities: liquor, tobacco, hydrocarbon oil, and methyl alcohol. Dutiable goods must be stored in a bonded warehouse until duty is paid.
Bonded warehouses must be licensed by the Customs and Excise Department of Hong Kong.
